Not on my price list? Tell me the job and get a fixed quote

Landing pages, integrations, upgrades and apps that got stuck halfway. Tell me what you need, and within 24 hours of our call you get a written scope and one fixed price. You talk to me, the person doing the work, the whole way through.

  • From $500
  • Quote within 24 hours
  • You own the code

Two ways to a fixed price

A price is only worth trusting if the job is clear enough to price. So I tell you which case you're in.

If the job is clear after one conversation, you get the written scope and the quote within 24 hours, and the call costs nothing.

Some jobs aren't clear yet: an unfamiliar codebase, or an idea with open questions. Guessing would mean a padded price or a surprise later, so I suggest a short paid scoping step instead. You keep the written scope either way, and you're free to take it to another developer.

Route AThe job is clear
  1. Free 30-minute call
  2. Written scope, including what's left out
  3. Fixed quote within 24 hours
  4. You decide, with nothing paid so far
Route BThe job isn't clear yet
  1. Free 30-minute call
  2. Paid scoping: $500, about 1 week
  3. Written scope that's yours to keep
  4. Fixed quote, with the $500 deducted if we go ahead

Who it's for

  • 01

You know the job, and no package fits

A single page, one connection or one fix. You need that job done well, not a full website plan.

  • 02

    You have something half-built

A previous developer moved on, or an AI builder got you most of the way. You want to keep what works and finish the rest.

  • 03

    You've outgrown your tools

A process that no off-the-shelf tool quite fits, and you'd like an honest view on whether custom work is worth it.

Jobs I can take on

If yours isn't here, ask anyway. If it isn't something I do well, I'll tell you on the call.

  • 01A landing page for one campaign

    What you see
An ad or launch is coming up, and your main site is too slow or too hard to change in time.
    How I fix it
One fast page built around a single action, connected to your form, CRM or booking tool.
  • 02A connection no plugin covers

    What you see
Two tools should talk to each other, but there's no built-in option, or the plugin can't follow your rules.
    How I fix it
A direct connection through their APIs, with error alerts and a written note on how it works.
  • 03An old Next.js version

    What you see
Security warnings, packages that won't update, and every change feels risky.
    How I fix it
A step-by-step upgrade on a preview link, checked page by page before it replaces the live site.
  • 04An app stuck in Lovable or Bolt

    What you see
The demo works, but the last features keep breaking, and you aren't sure your data is safe.
    How I fix it
I review the code, logins and database access rules, then tell you what to keep, fix or rebuild.
  • 05A project another developer left

    What you see
Nobody can explain how it works, and small changes break other things.
    How I fix it
A review first, then fixes in priority order and a handoff document. If a rebuild is cheaper, I'll say so.
  • 06A small internal tool

    What you see
One spreadsheet runs an important part of the business, and only one person understands it.
    How I fix it
A simple tool with logins for that one process. For anything bigger, see my web app plans.

What you get in writing before you pay

  • What's included

The pages, features and connections, listed one by one, so we both know what done means.

  • What's left out

Anything you might assume is included but isn't, so it can't surprise you later.

  • One fixed price

The total for that scope, plus any fees you'd pay to other services, such as hosting.

  • The timeline

When work starts and when you'll have it, with the steps in between.

  • How changes work

Anything new is quoted before I work on it, so the price never moves without your OK.

  • What happens after launch

How long support lasts and what's covered, so nothing is unclear on launch day.

Starting prices, by size of job

So you can tell if we're in the same range before you book. Your quote is one fixed price for your exact scope.

Marketplace gig, me or an agency?

An honest comparison, based on what freelancers and agencies published in November 2026. Your quote depends on your scope.

  • Marketplace gig

    Price
    Varies, often "contact for pricing"
    Getting a firm price
    Varies by seller
    Who you talk to
    Whoever took the gig
    Who owns the code
    Many listings don't say
    Best for
    A small, well-defined task
  • Me

    Price
    From $500, fixed
    Getting a firm price
Within 24 hours of the call
    Who you talk to
    The developer, directly
    Who owns the code
    You do
    Best for
One clear job or a first version
  • Agency

    Price
Often $10k–$50k+ for a first version
    Getting a firm price
Often after paid discovery: roughly $4,000 and 2–3 weeks
    Who you talk to
    Usually a project manager
    Who owns the code
    Usually you, check the contract
    Best for
Big teams, regulated or round-the-clock systems

I'm one person, and that's a limit as well as a benefit. If you need a team, round-the-clock cover or a heavily regulated build, an agency is the better choice and I'll tell you so on the call.

In every custom project

  • A written scope and fixed price before work starts
  • You deal with me from the first call to launch
  • A preview link to test as it's built
  • A written progress update every working day
  • The code and accounts in your name
  • A handoff document explaining how it all works

How it works

Route A, the usual path. Timings depend on the job, and your quote gives the real dates.

  1. Day 0

    Free call

You tell me the job. I ask questions and tell you if I'm the right person for it.

  2. Within 24 hours

    Scope and quote

The written scope, the fixed price and the dates, sent to you to review.

  3. When you say yes

    Deposit and start

You pay 50%, and I start on the date in the quote.

  4. Days to weeks

    Build and test

I build it on a preview link, and you see progress and give feedback as it happens.

  5. On the agreed date

    Launch and handoff

It goes live, you pay the other 50%, and you get the handoff document and support.

What I need from you

  • A description of the job, even a rough one
  • Examples, screenshots or a recording of the problem
  • Access to the code or accounts involved, if there are any
  • One person who can give feedback and make decisions
  • The 50% deposit

Not a good fit

  • Native iOS or Android apps
  • Open-ended hourly work with no agreed scope
  • White-label work for agencies
  • Systems that need a large team or round-the-clock cover

Built with

  • Next.js
  • TypeScript
  • Node.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • Supabase
  • Stripe
  • Zoho CRM
  • Docker

Questions about custom projects

Can you really give a fixed price in 24 hours?

Yes, when the job is clear after our call. When it isn't, I won't guess: I'll say so and suggest the paid scoping step, so the price you get is one I can stand behind.

What does the paid scoping step include?

About a week of work for $500: I review your code or idea, answer the open questions and write the scope, then give you a fixed quote. The $500 comes off the price if we go ahead, and the written scope is yours either way.

Can you take over an app built with Lovable, Bolt or another AI tool?

Usually, yes. I review it first, especially the logins and who can read which data, because those are common weak spots in these apps. Then I tell you whether to fix it or rebuild it.

What if I need changes during the project?

Small adjustments are part of the work. Anything new is quoted first, so the price never changes without your OK.

Who owns the code?

You do. The code, the database and the hosting accounts are yours, and the handoff document means another developer could pick it up.

Is my job too small?

Probably not, but below about $500 a job rarely justifies a scope and a quote. If a built-in setting or an existing tool can do it, I'll tell you on the call and you won't need me.
